Petrified Wood ring, size 7.5

This ring began with a demonstration for one of my classes - how to create the texture of petrified wood, translating it into a ring shank.

And so this ring was born.

Petrified wood is the gem stone for Washington state. The "wood" in this ring is actually a stone, and the ring shank is fabricated to continue the gorgeous, natural texture seen in the stone.

Size 7.5/8 (right in between). The ring band (shank) is less than .25" wide. The stone is .6x1.2" square.

This piece is one of a kind. Sterling silver and petrified wood.
