Abalone Shell

To make this shell I formed sterling silver sheet with stakes. I then fused recycled silver onto the formed sheet to create the lip. The barnacles are individually soldered on.
The shell is 2" in length and 1.5" wide. It rests on a bale that swivels so that you can display both sides. The handmade chain is 25" in length.
