Mussels, enamel on silver
$750.00
The mussels were initially created by fusing, forming, fusing again, carving, and eventually soldering in a rivet. That part took the better portion of two days. From there, I spent approximately 8 hours fusing glass (enamel) onto the outside of the shells, strategically chipping parts off, and adding more, which became a 13-layer labor of love in an effort to make the piece look real.
The sculptural, kinetic pendant is just over 1.5" in length. It hangs on a sterling silver chain that measures 26" in length.
This piece is one of a kind. Sterling silver and glass.
