Holy moly this was a puzzle! Not only did I have to study an actual salmon skeleton in depth, but I had to figure out how to both fabricate the components as well as the hidden kinetics. It was a fun brainstorm but a lot of work!
The kinetic skeleton is 2.25" in length, sterling silver, fused, carved, and carefully soldered. It hangs on a hand made chain that measures 18-22" in length, designed to be adjustable.
This piece is one of a kind (I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it again!).
