Clam Shell with Barnacles
$425.00
I remember the first time I picked up a clam shell covered with barnacles and thought, "how can I make this?" I returned home from that camping trip (to Port Ludlow, WA), and got to work.
This shell is fabricated from sterling silver sheet and wire, sawed, fused, formed, carved, and soldered.
The shell is 2.2" wide, 1.75" from top to bottom, and hangs on a 22-25" chain, designed to be adjustable. The connection between the shell and chain is kinetic so that the shell can be seen on either side when worn. The chain closes at the front with a hook clasp.
This piece is one of a kind.
