I was very excited about this wheatgrass. I have wanted to make one for a long time now and it suddenly dawned on me how to do so. I balled wire and fused it with additional thicker gauge wire, then ran my torch over the end to do a little bit of reticulation. I filed down the balled ends to get the appropriate shape I wanted, and then, one by one, soldered each of the little seeds to the stem. And voilà!
I turned this wheatgrass stalk into a pin, meant for a sweater or scarf. Be forewarned however - the wires on the seedlings are delicate and might be easily caught. If this were to stay mine, I would wear it on special occasions on a black sweater (or something of the sort).
This piece is one of a kind.
