o make this Mother of Thousands pendant I fused and carved silver scraps for the arm. I then individually sawed, shaped and soldered the plantlets to the arm.
This aptly named succulent keeps a close eye on her developing progeny. The Mother of Thousands is as prolific as it is maternal—hundreds of tiny plants actually grow on the mother's arms. When released, each plantlet falls to the dirt to take root on its own—now the next "mother" in the lineage, never too far from home.
The Mother of Thousands pendant hangs on a leather cord with adjustable chain at one end, 19-22" in length. This piece is one of a kind.
